Viasea a Norwegian-owned shipping line has decided to optimize its route on the south of UK and move its second stop to London Thamesport, arriving at 1 PM on Saturdays.
The changes were made as part of Viasea’s ongoing commitment to improving operational efficiency and reliability. Furthermore, the relocation of the services for Saturday at 1pm to London Thamesport is a response to growing demand of cargo shipment from south of UK to Northen Europe and the Baltics. The revised route is designed to streamline processes, improve transit times, and enhance overall service reliability.
The new London Thamesport route will include more predictable arrivals and departures leading to eliminating holdups that may have previously disrupted the service.
Amber Bensley, Viasea, UK Sales Manager says:
“We are pleased to announce that Viasea are calling London Thamesport as part of our Baltic & Norway liner services. Their reliability, professionalism and commitment to quality goes in line with supporting our operation and we look forward to continuing our successful partnership once more.”
Mark Taylor, Director, London Thamesport comments:
“We are aware that Viasea had a number of options for this service and are delighted that they have chosen to locate it at London Thamesport. The decision is a vindication of the hard work and effort of the whole team at the port which enable us to offer the highest level of service to customers and port-users.
“This service extends the range of destinations served from London Thamesport and reinforces London Thamesport’s position as a key hub for short sea container traffic. We look forward to working with Viasea to continue to increase the range, frequency and reliability of options for shippers.”
