To comply with the European Union’s new Import Control System 2 (ICS2) regulations, Viasea is making necessary updates to align with these standards.
What Does This Mean for You?
As previously mentioned, the EU’s updated customs program requires additional pre-arrival security and safety information for all shipments. To meet compliance, we will need more detailed information from our customers.
Timeline for Implementation
Starting December 1, 2024, Viasea will require additional information, minimum 24hrs prior shipping for all bookings of shipments to the EU from non-EU countries. We won’t be able to process shipments without this information. The deadline for full compliance with ICS2 is December 4, 2024.
ICS2 Requirements
To fulfill the security and safety guidelines, Viasea must submit additional data to the EU Shared Trader Interface. The accuracy of this information is the responsibility of the customer. Please ensure you provide following information upon booking:

- Buyer and Seller Information: Full addresses for both parties.
