Bigger ship on our Baltic service

Bigger ship on our Baltic service

Published: 11. September 2018
Sea freight as proven to be a very attractive option for goods coming from the Baltics and Poland to Norway. As a result, we now choose to increase our capacity and replace the current vessel Vanquish, in favour of the larger container ship A2B Independent.
A2B Independent will be operating our Baltic service between Klaipeda, Gdynia and Oslo from week 39. It will also be possible to book cargo going to Moss and Kristiansand on this service.

With A2B Independent's increased size, we have greater capacity than before, considering both tonnage and all types of standard containers. In addition, we have significantly increased capacity within the reefer and tank segment.

The ship sails under the Dutch flag, was built in 1998, has a length of almost 119 meters, and a width of almost 18 meters. The TEU capacity of this ship is 658.

Sea freight benefits;
you choose the greener alternative, which shows your company has the ability to adjust to a more environmentally friendly way
you take a corporate responsibility, which is great - your customers demand and expect it!
you save money, sea freight is a less expensive mode of transport
your arrivals will be more predictable
