Starting December 1, 2024, Viasea will implement new requirements in line with the European Union’s updated Import Control System 2 (ICS2) standards. These regulations will affect all shipments to the EU from non-EU countries, requiring customers to provide additional information for compliance. Specifically, detailed commodity codes and full addresses for buyers and sellers will be needed.

Viasea Shipping is pleased to announce a significant update to its operations in Poland. Effective from October 11, 2024, all deliveries and pick-ups will be transferred from the Gdynia Container Terminal (GCT) to the Baltic Container Terminal (BCT) located at ul. Kwiatkowskiego 60, 81-127 Gdynia, Poland. This strategic move aims to enhance service efficiency and provide customers with an improved shipping experience.

Enova is providing substantial support of a total of 171.8 million Norwegian kroner to Viasea Shipping for the acquisition of two hydrogen-powered container ships. Once completed, these ships will be deployed in our existing routes between Norway, the Baltics and Northern Europe.

We are changing our routes, giving improved capacity and more ports in our schedule.

After Brexit, the UK government has now made new rules for Custom Declarations Services. ALL UK importers and later on (from 30/03-2023) also all UK shippers MUST register in the new CDS system before 30.9.2022.

Viasea leave UK every Friday, and arrives in Oslo on Mondays. We also transport your cargo further on to Klaipeda, Lithuania and Gdynia, Poland. This gives you a much greener alternative than for instance road transport.

This autumn Viasea turned 5 years! It has been 5 exiting years, with a positive growth in an exciting market.

In January Viasea opened new department in Immingham, and will run a new, direct route to Norway from the 1st of May this year.

To support the company’s growth Viasea is opening new departments in Gdynia and Klaipeda, operating the schedule from the Baltics and Poland to Norway from the 18th of March.

We would like to inform you that CCT Moerdijk will be connected to Portbase to secure an efficient handling of customs formalities as per 1st of June 2019.

Viasea expands with a new weekly service between Lübeck and Oslo, aiming to offer the best shortsea solutions for import to Norway.

With support from subsidy of transfer of goods from road to sea, Viasea are expanding their current route to also include Kristiansand.

Sea freight as proven to be a very attractive option for goods coming from the Baltics and Poland to Norway. As a result, we now choose to increase our capacity and replace the current vessel Vanquish, in favour of the larger container ship A2B Independent.

Viasea is expanding their services and will offer Port of Kristiansand as part of their weekly schedules from Europe and the Baltics. From 2nd of October the vessel Carla will arrive at the Port of Kristiansand every Tuesday morning.

Due to demand, Viasea upgraded to a larger vessel sailing Oslo/Rotterdam, and has now even more capacity available.

Starting in April, Viasea will launch its new service in the Baltic Sea, with a weekly schedule between Norway, Poland and Lithuania.

Viasea is investing more in their direct route from Moerdijk, Rotterdam to Oslo with a bigger container ship. Viasea is ready to carry your goods by sea.

This partnership will enable the two shipping companies to offer, what they believe is, the market's best shortsea solution between Norway, Poland and the Baltic countries.

As a result of strong growth, we now choose to increase our capacity and replace the current vessel Vanquish, in favour of the much larger container ship Carla.

As from 1st of January Yilport Oslo Container Terminal will charge an "Import Processing Fee" of NOK 180 per container.

Viasea will keep sailing according to schedule this holiday.

From November 2016 the newly established Norwegian company Viasea Shipping AS will operate a container line between Rotterdam and the Oslofjord.

From 2017, import VAT and the basis for the tax will no longer be declared in customs declarations. 

Nor Feeder completed her maiden voyage for Viasea and called at Port of Oslo and Port of Moss on Monday morning the 7th of November.
